First World Problems
So last year some of my friends and I came across the phrase "first world problems." If you don't know what these are, it is basically an issue that we face living in a first world country, that are actually quite ridiculous. My family has caught on after I told them and we use it all the time. It's a way to make the situations we are in seem less dramatic and awful as they actually are. People post them as memes (which is a totally other huge media phenomenon) and for a while they were spreading. Here are some that are media related. Enjoy.
"First World Problems" is my husbands favorite phrase to me when I'm complaining about something. Yeah...he's a good reminder of our amazing blessings :) And I LOVE memes! They always make me so happy!
I love these! I get too wrapped up in my problems sometimes and really need to be counting my blessings instead, especially during this crunch time of the semester!
My roommate has been calling out all her "first world problems" this week!! So it's funny you should write about this, it's been on my mind. When we start complaining too much, one of us will always say, "At least we have arms!" And that usually puts things back in perspective :)
I think these are hilarious! It is good to get a reminder that we really have an easy life here.
